So I've been searching for mufflers, because I think I've actually managed to work out the exhaust system for the wagon.

I need an MDS Ignition 8969 Window Switch box, so I can set the exhaust dumps to open/close by RPM.

In order to continue having the side exit exhaust I'm looking for, I need to find a muffler were the inlet and outlet are on the same side. I searched through something like 2000 mufflers listed on Summit Racing, and I found around 5 mufflers that can do this.

So I need to also put in a little Y pipe for the exhaust dump to sit in (and I also need to find a little angled tip so the exhaust goes down, rather than towards the driveshaft).

So all in, two mufflers, two dump valves, and the MDS 8969. Then I just wire it all together. In addition to wiring it, I plan on using a 3 way switch to control this. It's going to be as follows:

-Off. If a cop is behind me, I'd rather not have to give them a reason to pay attention to me.

-Auto. Triggered by the RPM sensed from the coil pack.

-On. The fun setting.

So the only thing I need to work on is how to jack the car up when the side exit is done, because the pipes will be right under the jack point. Need to figure that out. I could probably jack up from the pinch weld, but we'll see. I'll talk to the exhaust shop about this part, because I'm sure they'll have some solid advice about it.

Finally, the last mod I plan on doing is putting wireless charging into the cell phone holder. I have a wireless charge mat, and I'm re-building my phone, so I'm doing a new front, back, battery and wireless charging receiver. I'm going to integrate the wireless charging base into it, so I don't need to run a billion wires and worry about plugging things in, it will just be plugged in, and it will just charge. I originally thought about putting it into the cubby next to the shifter where I typically leave my phone, but the battery typically goes down most when I use the GPS, so I guess I can do that instead.

The charging mat is cheap, and comes apart easily, so I can figure out what I want to do with it pretty easily. Might be able to do both. I'm going to try and wire it with the radio, or something else so that it can't draw power when the car is off (there's an LED indicator for whether it's charging something or not). It wont be a big draw, but I don't want to have to worry about it. It'll be a pretty sweet custom thing either way.

Car is getting a few scratches taken out, hood touched up, and is getting the bumper blended. Should be out Friday actually. Can't wait to get it back together with the new grill. I'll see if I can get a video of it up soon, but the noise isn't that great, considering I still have the stock exhaust. The custom exhaust will be the big thing, I really can't wait to get that set up.

Pics when she's out of paint and put back together.
